Our Commitment to Safety
Our entire staff – technicians, engineers, administrators and management – are involved and responsible for the safety of our coworkers, our customers, our contractors as well as our communities. Safety is the number one priority in everything we do. The safety of our people, customer personnel, and site equipment is our primary focus.
Every ITA employee has the authority, without fear of reprimand or retaliation, to immediately STOP any work activity that presents a danger that is not in compliance with our safety and health policies. We will report any unsafe acts or conditions to supervisors and will question any work activity that involves a violation of the established safety and health policies or the established job hazard analysis.
Electrical Safety Program
Independent Testing Agency technicians have met NICET’s (National Institute for Certification in Engineering Technologies) rigorous certification criteria. This certification program promotes technical knowledge and skills, with safety being at the forefront of the training. Each of our technicians have achieved a minimum of Level 2 certification, and remain current by demonstrating Continuing Professional Development (CPD).
ITA has an obligation to provide a safe workplace and each employee has an obligation to maintain a safe workplace by using safe work practices regardless of location or task. No project is worth sacrificing the safety of our employees or causing damage to our customers’ equipment. Safe work practices are essential to the well-being of both our employees and our company.
